About the position

The Behavior Analyst position at the River Street Outreach Program involves providing comprehensive behavioral analysis and intervention services to students with autism and other developmental disorders. The role emphasizes collaboration with educational staff and families, focusing on evidence-based practices to enhance student outcomes through functional assessments and behavior intervention plans.

Responsibilities

  • Completing functional behavioral assessments.
  • Developing behavior intervention plans.
  • Conducting behavior skills training.
  • Training staff on behavioral strategies.
  • Contributing to school-wide Positive Behavior initiatives.
  • Collaborating with administrative, educational, and professional staff and families.
  • Consulting effectively within classroom settings and other environments.
  • Developing and monitoring data collection systems.
  • Assessing intervention fidelity.
  • Making data-based decisions.

Requirements

  • Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Licensed by the CT Department of Public Health.
  • Experience working with students with autism or other developmental disabilities is required.
  • Must pass CREC fingerprinting and background checks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with older students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • History of working with students with histories of trauma.
