About the position

The Behavior Analyst position at the Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) involves identifying behavioral service needs for individuals with developmental disabilities, providing consultation and quality assurance activities, and developing professional relationships within the community to enhance service delivery. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including RCEB staff, consumers, and community providers, to ensure effective behavioral services are available and implemented. The Behavior Analyst will also participate in interdisciplinary teams and contribute to policy development and training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify behavioral service needs for RCEB consumers.
  • Develop and conduct quality assurance activities with vendors.
  • Provide consultation on behavioral services to consumers, staff, and providers.
  • Represent RCEB in the community regarding behavioral services.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with behavioral providers.
  • Expand services provided by vendored clinicians and facilities.
  • Consult with RCEB case managers on behavioral service needs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for individual consumers.
  • Evaluate programs and services in the community, including residential services.
  • Monitor licensed residential homes and other services with quality assurance staff.
  • Develop tools for staff to review behavioral service needs and outcomes.
  • Review and recommend exceptional behavioral service requests for consumers.
  • Consult with staff to determine consumer eligibility for specialized residential facilities.
  • Participate in the review and approval of proposals for new or expanded behavioral services.
  • Draft policies and procedures for behavioral services as needed.
  • Provide training and education to staff, consumers, families, and vendors.
  • Review behavioral interventions that are restrictive and coordinate committee meetings for review.

Requirements

  • Ph.D/Psy.D in behavior analysis, psychology, or related field.
  • California Psychology license or license eligible as psychologist preferred.
  • MA in behavior analysis or psychology can be substituted with additional clinical or administrative experience.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Three or more years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and independently with supervision.
  • Excellent writing and public speaking skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Demonstrates cultural awareness and sensitivity.
