About the position
The Behavior Clinician plays a crucial role in supporting individuals facing behavioral, social, or emotional challenges that hinder their community participation. This position involves working closely with clients in their county of residence and surrounding areas, providing tailored support and intervention to enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assess behavioral strengths and needs of individuals served
- Develop behavior support plans
- Provide staff training on behavior support plans
- Make periodic visits to the home, community, and/or place of work
- Be proficient with computer software applications
- Attend individual service team meetings
- Maintain required documentation
- Coordinate services with a variety of individuals and agencies
- Work with minimal supervision
- Collaborate effectively as a team member
- Handle multiple tasks and/or demands
Requirements
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or Counseling
- Licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed clinical social worker, or licensed mental health counselor under IC 25-23.6
- Ability to assess behavioral strengths and needs
- Experience in developing behavior support plans
- Proficiency in computer software applications
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
