About the position

The Behavior Consultant at Merakey is responsible for designing and implementing individualized behavior modification intervention plans for children and adolescents. This role involves collaboration with a treatment team to identify behavioral goals and recommend non-aversive behavioral change methods, ultimately aiming to make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families.

Responsibilities

• Design and direct the implementation of behavior modification intervention plans tailored to individual children and adolescents.
• Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure effective intervention strategies are in place.
• Identify behavioral goals and intervention techniques for each child or adolescent.
• Recommend non-aversive behavioral change methods to support positive outcomes.

Requirements

• A License in PA as a Behavior Specialist or equivalent certification.
• BCBA Certification.
• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counseling, or a related field with a minimum of 1-year full-time experience working with children/adolescents in the mental health field.
• Completion of a clinical mental health service practicum.
