About the position

The Behavior Consultant at Merakey plays a crucial role in supporting children and families by designing and implementing individualized behavior modification intervention plans. This position focuses on identifying behavioral goals and recommending non-aversion behavioral change methods, primarily serving as a consultant within a treatment team. The Behavior Consultant is expected to participate in team meetings and may engage in special child-centered, family-focused meetings when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Design and direct the implementation of individualized behavior modification intervention plans.
• Identify behavioral goals and intervention techniques for children and adolescents.
• Recommend non-aversion behavioral change methods.
• Serve as a consultant to the Mobile Therapist within the treatment team.
• Participate in team meetings and provide assessment, program design, and monitoring.
• Engage in special child-centered, family-focused meetings as needed.

Requirements

• A License in PA as a Behavior Specialist.
• BCBA Certification.
• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counseling with a minimum of 1-year full-time experience working with children/adolescents in the mental health field.
• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counseling, or a related field with completion of a clinical mental health service practicum.
