About the position

As a Behavior Interventionist at California Behavioral Care, you will work directly with individuals with disabilities to help them develop essential life skills through a child-centric therapy model. This role involves implementing behavioral programming in various settings, including home, school, and community environments, while collaborating closely with a clinical supervisor. The position offers flexible hours and opportunities for professional growth and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clinical supervisor in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting for clients with behavioral needs.
  • Work closely with case supervisor to collect and record data on all programming during sessions with individuals.
  • Target goals to improve clients' social and life skills.
  • Incorporate each child's unique interests into fun, play-based therapy sessions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor of Arts or science program related to Child Development, Sociology, Psychology, or related fields.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Reliable car for transportation to client locations.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
