About the position
Beach Cities Learning is seeking a full-time Behavior Interventionist for their San Gabriel location. This role is designed for individuals passionate about working with children with special needs, particularly those with backgrounds in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Sociology, or Healthcare. The position is school-based and operates on a 10-month school year schedule, with breaks during summer and school holidays. The Behavior Interventionist will play a crucial role in supporting the educational team and making a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher in implementing clinical programs and special education services.
- Support physical fitness activities as part of the educational program.
- Collaborate with a school-based special education team to provide effective interventions.
- Work closely with veteran behavior technicians and an on-site administrator manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Experience working with children in a special needs education setting, particularly with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Extensive experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
