About the position

Cortica is seeking a Behavior Interventionist to provide direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. This role is crucial in delivering life-changing care to children with neurodevelopmental differences, aligning with Cortica's mission to cultivate the full potential of every child. The position involves implementing behavior-analytic services, working closely with families, and ensuring a supportive environment for treatment and education.

Responsibilities

• Attend Cortica's orientation and complete BCAT training.
• Provide direct implementation of behavior-analytic services to children with autism in both 1:1 and group settings.
• Implement positive behavior strategies developed with the BCBA.
• Work in various settings including home, community, school, and clinic to provide direct care.
• Fulfill documentation requirements including data collection and session notes.
• Assist with individualized assessment procedures through preference assessments and data collection.
• Work with families to establish a supportive environment for treatment.
• Follow crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies and mandated reporting.
• Demonstrate professionalism in communication and demeanor.

Requirements

• Experience working with children, preferably those with autism.
• Bachelor's degree in a human service or related field, or relevant work experience.
• Current Registered Behavior Technician or willingness to obtain BCAT credential within 45 days.
• Availability to work some days, late afternoons, and evenings.
• Valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
