About the position

The Behavior Specialist position at the Center for Social Dynamics involves implementing evidence-based mental health services and Applied Behavioral Analysis programs for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and paid training, focusing on personal and professional growth within the ABA field.

Responsibilities

• Conducts 100% of scheduled sessions unless time-off has been granted or the parents have communicated otherwise.
• Primarily responsible for conducting subbing sessions for other clients to sustain productivity if a session is cancelled.
• Implements individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Intervention Plans as directed by clinical staff.
• Travels to various settings including home and community to deliver services.
• Renders completed sessions daily and writes thorough notes.
• Communicates schedule changes and cancellations to the clinical team immediately.
• Participates in regular meetings and communicates with Clinical Leaders regarding Treatment Plans and family concerns.
• Completes necessary clinical documentation and keeps updated with site-related documents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Flexible availability, especially Monday through Thursday from 3-8 pm and Saturday.
• Completion of new hire training conducted online and in person.
• Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, and COVID) required.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Ability to work with a diverse population and communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with children.
