About the position
The Behavioral Specialist at Merakey is responsible for developing and implementing recovery-oriented treatment plans for children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses. This role involves collaboration with treatment teams, providing therapeutic services in various settings, and leading behavioral support interventions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with treatment team members to assess, design, and implement recovery-oriented treatment plans.
- Providing intensive therapeutic services in community living arrangements, schools, and other settings.
- Leading the development and monitoring of behavioral support interventions.
- Providing individual and group treatment and support based on individual and family needs.
- Collecting, evaluating, and presenting behavioral data through functional behavioral assessments.
- Conducting trainings related to the implementation of person-centered plans.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in psychology, counseling, applied behavior analysis, or a related field.
- Licensed in the state of PA or certified eligible as a Behavior Specialist, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
- At least one year of experience in the behavioral health field working with individuals with mental health or developmental disabilities.
- Valid PA Driver's License.
