Behavior Technician (ABA)- Paid Training

About the position

As a Behavior Technician at Total Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in helping children with autism develop essential skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA). This entry-level position is in high demand and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families. You will work with children aged 2-22 in various settings, including homes, schools, and centers, providing support and guidance to foster their growth and learning.

Responsibilities

• Support children with autism in learning and developing communication, socialization, and self-help skills through play-based therapy.
• Engage in training to gain skills relevant to behavior analysis and behavioral health.
• Create positive change for children and their families by implementing ABA techniques.
• Work with children in their homes, schools, or centers, adapting to their specific needs and environments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual, with fluency in English and Spanish.
• Studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or a related field.
• Experience working with children in roles such as babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, or camp counselor.
