About the position

As a Behavior Technician at Total Spectrum, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism by implementing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to enhance their communication, socialization, and self-help skills. Responsibilities

  • Support children with autism in learning and developing skills through play-based therapy.
  • Implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques as directed by a licensed behavior analyst.
  • Work with children aged 2-22 in various settings including homes, schools, and centers.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment for children.
  • Participate in training to gain skills relevant to behavior analysis and related fields.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Willingness to learn about autism and ABA techniques.
  • Compassion and a genuine desire to help children and families.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., babysitter, tutor, coach).
  • Studied psychology, education, special education, or related fields.
