About the position

The Behavior Technician position at Wisconsin Early Autism Project (WEAP) is an entry-level role focused on providing support to children with autism through applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. The role involves working directly with children aged 18 months to 6 years, helping them develop communication, socialization, and self-help skills in a play-based environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist children with autism in learning and developing skills through ABA therapy.

  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavior analysis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old on or before the first day of employment.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Daily access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in childcare, such as babysitting, tutoring, or teaching.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Studied psychology, education, special education, or a related field.
