About the position

The Behavior Technician position at Accelerated Behavioral Change, Inc (ABC, Inc) involves working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by implementing Behavior Intervention Plans and skill acquisition goals under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The role is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children and are willing to undergo training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

Responsibilities

• Provide quality 1:1 instruction to children with ASD in communication, social, play, and adaptive skills.
• Collect treatment plan data.
• Apply feedback and training on Registered Behavior Technician performance given by the lead BCBA or BCaBA.
• Provide behavior support inside and outside of the home or classroom when applicable.
• Attend a variety of training sessions and other related company meetings.
• Adhere to applicable laws, rules, and regulations specified by regulatory agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in college or a college degree preferred, with preference given to BA/BS in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Child Development, Social Work, or similar fields.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently required.
• Preference given to bilingual English/Spanish speakers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a plus.
