About the position

The Behavior Technician position at Care Autism LLC involves providing direct support and therapy to clients with developmental disabilities, particularly those with autism. The role focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. Training is provided, making it suitable for entry-level candidates passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans for clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients in various settings, such as home, school, or community
  • Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
  • Assist with behavior assessments and functional behavior assessments
  • Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Teach clients skills in areas such as communication, socialization, self-help, and academic skills
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies to address challenging behaviors
  • Provide support and training to parents and caregivers on implementing behavior strategies at home

Requirements

  • RBT Certification (Preferred)
  • Experience with applied behavior analysis (1 year preferred)
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to treatment plans
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with behavioral challenges
  • Ability to collect accurate data and maintain detailed records
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly on your feet
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
