About the position

The Behavior Technician role at Verbal Behavior Associates involves working directly with children with special needs to support their development in various skills. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) while working under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with children with special needs to support the development of their communication, self-help, social, and play skills.
• Implementing behavior plans designed by BCBAs, tailoring techniques and strategies to meet individual client needs.
• Tracking and sharing client progress by collecting behavior data and recording clinical notes.
• Attending ongoing development and training to strengthen ABA services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are necessary.
• Availability to work at least 3 weekdays for a 3-hour shift between 2:00-7:00pm.
• Willingness to attend a two-week training schedule.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with children and/or disabilities is desirable but not required.
