About the position

Behavioral Health Works is seeking energetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. This part-time role involves providing evidence-based behavioral therapy to children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in home and community settings. The position focuses on teaching essential skills such as communication, social interaction, and self-help through Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) principles, under the supervision of experienced professionals. The company offers training and support to help employees grow in the field of ABA therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy.
• Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions.
• Engage actively with children during therapy sessions, maintaining a fun and energetic atmosphere.
• Complete all onboarding requirements and initial training period.
• Maintain professionalism and goal-oriented focus in all aspects of work.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingualism is a plus, with higher pay rates for bilingual individuals.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to undergo a criminal background clearance and provide proof of a negative TB test.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or Autism is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a Paraprofessional, Caregiver, Youth Coach, or in a related field.
• Working towards or completed a degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
