About the position

Northeast Family Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to implement clients' behavior support plans aimed at reducing problematic behavior and promoting skill development through ABA-based instruction. The role involves monitoring client behavior, collecting data, and collaborating with supervising BCBAs and families to facilitate meaningful behavioral changes.

Responsibilities

• Implement clients' behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior.
• Provide ABA-based instruction to promote the development of new skills.
• Monitor client behavior and collect data on client behavior.
• Report data back to the supervising BCBA.
• Collaborate with the supervising BCBA and client's family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 24 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families.
• Associates degree or higher in a relevant discipline with 12 months of experience in a similar role.
• Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with 12 months of experience working with relevant populations.
• Valid driver's license with reliable access to a vehicle.
• Availability to work morning, after school, and evening hours.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
