About the position

The Behavior Technician (BT) will implement treatment plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. This role involves providing services in various settings, including clients' homes and community environments, while adhering to ethical and professional standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the BCBA, including behavior management strategies, skill acquisition programs, and social skills training.
  • Accurately collect and record data on client progress towards achieving treatment goals.
  • Provide written and oral feedback to the BCBA regarding client progress.
  • Attend scheduled meetings to review progress, discuss concerns, and treatment goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards according to the BACB code of ethics.
  • Complete required documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and incident reports.
  • Attend professional development training opportunities as required.
  • Maintain open communication with client families, caregivers, and other treatment team members.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with ASD and/or other developmental disabilities is required.
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies and skill acquisition programs as outlined by the BCBA.
  • Ability to collect and record accurate data on client progress.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and other treatment team members.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and ethical standards at all times.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
