About the position
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in implementing treatment and behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities, ensuring they can learn, work, and play in their communities. The RBT is responsible for conducting one-on-one behavioral therapy, maintaining documentation, and adhering to ethical standards while providing support to clients.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans and behavior intervention plans under the direction of the BCBA.
- Conduct 1:1 behavioral therapy sessions with clients.
- Write well-written and objective session summary notes, behavior notes, and parent communication notes.
- Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Track BCBA supervision hours and maintain RBT certification.
- Follow the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code.
- Attend mandatory monthly staff meetings.
- Teach and model functional play according to the age level of clients.
- Display professionalism at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and computers.
- Ability to document precisely.
- Excellent social skills.
- Pass the RBT Certification Exam within 60 days of hire.
- Maintain required training including CPR/1st Aid certification.
- Reliable transportation for commute between assigned worksites.
