About the position

The Behavior Technician position at Autism Systems involves providing home-based and clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The role focuses on supporting child development through evidence-based practices, working closely with clients and their families to achieve meaningful and independent lives. This part-time internship offers flexible hours, primarily after school, and emphasizes professional development and collaboration within small, connected teams.

Responsibilities

• Complete necessary training and demonstrate accurate implementation and reporting on client-specific plans, such as behavior plans and emergency procedures.
• Receive 1:1 supervision from BCBAs, BCaBAs, and Behavioral Consultants.
• Work 1:1 with one client at any given time, with periodic clinical supervision.
• Collect, record, and review data accurately following Autism Systems procedures.
• Complete and submit all required clinical progress notes.
• Maintain client privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Autism Systems policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or some college preferred.
• Willingness to travel to home-based sessions.
• Personal reliable transportation is required.
• Must have auto insurance and a valid driver's license.
• No past criminal history is required.
• Ability to maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and sit in child-sized chairs or on the floor.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in psychology, sociology, counseling, behavioral sciences, social work, teaching, education, child development, caregiving, babysitting, nannying, or therapy.
