The Behavior Technician role at Oakwood Counseling Center, Inc. involves working closely with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavior problems. Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans
- Collect and analyze data to track progress
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals in home and/or school settings
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills
- Communicate effectively with families, supervisors, and school staff, providing guidance on behavior strategies
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of interventions and progress
Requirements
- High school diploma plus 3 years of documented experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavior problems
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience, compassion, and empathy towards all individuals
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and their families
- Highly motivated, responsible, and dependable
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
