About the position

The Behavior Technician role at CABA involves providing direct intervention services to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. The position requires implementing behavior plans and skill acquisition programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), ensuring personalized care and support for clients while adhering to ethical practices and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior plans and skill acquisition programs based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) as designed by a BCBA.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of client(s) programming and changes in programming.
  • Conduct preference assessments on an ongoing basis.
  • Accurately collect data as prescribed in real-time.
  • Collaborate with, train, and function as liaisons with outside care providers and members of the client's clinical team.
  • Maintain dignity of client while assisting with personal care, including nutrition and personal hygiene.
  • Accurately complete Internal Incident Reports (IIR) and Mandated Reporting in a timely manner.
  • Complete all required initial and ongoing staff trainings.
  • Adhere to ethical practices and core values of CABA.
  • Fulfill all requirements to obtain and maintain a credential as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
  • Complete other clinical and administrative activities assigned at the discretion of CABA.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma; pay rate dependent on level of education, credentials, and experience.
  • 1+ years' experience implementing behavior intervention services with individuals with special needs.
  • Reliable means of transportation, valid CA driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance.
  • Must pass a TB test.
  • Must pass a criminal background check (FBI/DOJ clearance).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred).
  • 1 year experience implementing behavior intervention (Preferred).
