About The Position

As a Behavior Technician at Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST), you will play a crucial role in helping children with autism develop essential skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA). This entry-level position is in high demand and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families. You will work directly with children aged 18 months to 11 years, providing therapy in their homes or at AST centers, while gaining valuable experience in the field of behavioral health.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old on or before the first day of employment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule, including mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or a related field.
• Experience working with children in roles such as babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, or camp counselor.

Responsibilities

• Support children with autism in learning and developing communication, socialization, and self-help skills through play-based therapy.
• Create lasting, positive changes for children and their families.
• Engage in training and skill development for a career in behavior analysis and related fields.
• Assist in implementing ABA therapy techniques as directed by supervisors.
