About the position

The Behavioral Counselor / Medical Social Worker position at Nurocoach Medical Group involves providing mental health support to patients dealing with healthcare trauma through a hybrid model of telehealth and in-person care. The role emphasizes flexibility in scheduling and aims to improve patient outcomes by offering counseling services tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize proprietary technology platform to manage a weekly schedule of appointments.
  • Help patients reduce their reliance on pharmaceuticals and develop self-advocacy tools.
  • Submit patient notes in a timely manner using real-time note-taking and mail-merge functionality.
  • Represent Nurocoach to the highest professional, clinical, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Must meet education and licensing requirements to practice counseling.
  • Possess strong computer skills and comfort with technology.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D) required.
  • 1 year of experience in counseling or case management.
