About the position
The Behavioral Health Associate (BHA) at Keystone Treatment Center plays a crucial role in providing direct patient care within the Women's Unit. This position involves assisting patients in their recovery journey, conducting assessments, and ensuring patient safety through regular checks. The BHA must possess a solid understanding of substance abuse treatment and work collaboratively with patients and their families to promote recovery.
Responsibilities
- Assist with direct patient care and support
- Record patient rounds and ensure accurate documentation
- Conduct hourly patient checks to ensure safety
- Assist in conducting patient groups and activities
- Provide a listening ear and emotional support to patients
- Coordinate the completion of various assessments
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license
- Thorough understanding of the facility's treatment program and philosophy
- Knowledge of alcoholism and drug abuse
- Previous experience in chemical dependency preferred
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a healthcare or treatment setting
- Familiarity with 12-Step programs and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
