About the position

The Behavioral Health Care Program Manager (Clinical Services) is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and administration of behavioral health programs in Amador County. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and developing community outreach initiatives. The Program Manager will also provide clinical supervision and coordinate services for various populations, including children, families, and adults.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative and supervisory duties related to the planning and oversight of assigned Behavioral Health programs.
  • Manage and supervise assigned staff, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Establish and maintain the Annual Program Workplan and ensure compliance with performance contracts.
  • Oversee program compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Develop policies and procedures for the program and monitor compliance.
  • Coordinate the planning and development of RFPs and manage grant applications for additional funding.
  • Track and prepare reports on the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned programs.
  • Collaborate with the Utilization/Quality Management section to evaluate operations and recommend improvements.
  • Facilitate and attend various internal and external meetings, preparing presentation materials as needed.
  • Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed registered staff and administer contracted services for effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, psychiatric social work, nursing, or a related behavioral science.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience as a clinician in a relevant behavioral health or alcohol drug program, including two years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Possession of a valid California license such as LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Registered Nurse, or Clinical Psychologist.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in training and development.
  • Knowledge of Medi-Cal requirements for behavioral health programs.
  • Experience in grant writing and administration.
