About the position

The Behavioral Health Clinician I/II position at La Clinica de La Raza focuses on providing culturally sensitive behavioral health assessment, treatment, and case management services to children and adults with mental health conditions. Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of culturally sensitive behavioral health assessment, treatment, and case management services to clients.
  • Screen and perform comprehensive mental health assessments, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Formulate provisional DSM and ICD-10 diagnoses under the supervision of a licensed supervisor.
  • Co-manage client care under the direction of a licensed supervisor.
  • Utilize modalities of brief/long term counseling/treatment, including CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Meet minimum billing goals monthly and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, case conferences, and peer review processes.
  • Regularly review clinical interventions and case documentation with a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license or in the registration process with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Two or more years of experience in a mental health/medical/social service setting providing assessment counseling/therapy and crisis intervention services.
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 and principles of individual, couples, and family therapy.
  • Ability to speak Spanish and English fluently.

  • Experience with Specialty Mental Health Medi-Cal documentation.
