Responsibilities

  • Provide community behavioral health services to residents of Berkeley.
  • Perform case management under direct supervision.
  • Participate in crisis intervention services and consultations regarding mental health issues.
  • Support clients with severe and persistent mental illness in symptom management and recovery goals.
  • Deliver culturally responsive mental health services to children, adolescents, and families.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and provide linkage to social services.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, or a related field, or a doctorate in Psychology with at least one year of field placement in a relevant setting.
  • Registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) with the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
  • Valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
