About the position

The Behavioral Health Clinician for Journey HOME and In Home Therapy for Caregivers provides assessment, individual, group and family therapy to clients and their families in various treatment settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive intake assessments and client planning sessions for adult clients and their families.
  • Provides individual, group and family therapy using established evidence based practices in clinic, in clients homes, and in-community.
  • Completes all client information and documentation in a timely manner according to legal, ethical, funding and agency guidelines.
  • Works with clients to establish long- and short-term goals. Counselor is responsible for detecting emotional, psychological, and physical danger signals. Counselor is non-judgmental and offers feedback and support to client.
  • Provides care coordination, including linkage and referral, crisis intervention, rehabilitation, safety planning and collateral services for adults.
  • Provides information to clients including treatment alternatives and referral service.
  • Responsible for remaining within the ethical standards established in the field, including those of confidentiality.
  • Responsible for explaining and enforcing all rules and regulations associated with clinic treatment policy. Compile and report data as required.
  • Collaborate with Probation staff, CWS and other agencies to coordinate care for clients as directed by supervisor.
  • Attend clinical supervision and weekly staff meetings, as necessary.
  • Attend training/conferences as arranged.
  • Responsible for maintaining the standards as listed in the CommuniCare+OLE Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual, and any other standards which may apply to this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • ASW/LCSW, AMFT/LMFT, APCC/LPCC required. Must be in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Science.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in behavioral health field, with SUD's is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Must provide proof of current driver's license and auto insurance.
