About the position

Clinicians in any CCAP program are responsible for the management of care and case management for clinical behavioral cases of CCAP clients. Provides comprehensive clinical social work/counseling services in keeping with CCAP mission and values and the values of the social work/counseling professions. All Clinicians work under the direction of the Clinical Director.

Responsibilities

  • Provides adult, adolescent, child, and family clinical evaluations
  • Provides individual, group and family psychotherapy
  • Provides consultation to professional colleagues and community groups
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with area community health providers, schools, legal, welfare and other social/human service and mental health personnel and agencies
  • Conducts clinical workshops, in-services and educational programs to other CCAP components and the community
  • Supervises the clinical activities of MSW graduate interns as appropriate
  • Facilitates and/or participates in interdisciplinary case conferences both within CCAP and in the community
  • Completes all written work; evaluations, reports in a timely manner
  • Participates in weekly supervision (group and/or individual)
  • Manages the clinical record in accordance with CCAP policies and procedures
  • Participates in performance improvement committees or other committees as assigned
  • Maintains an agency established benchmark of number of sessions delivered per week
  • Participates in community boards, groups, councils, as required
  • Assists in departmental studies, projects as required
  • Participates in professional responsibilities and activities including departmental statistical generation and analysis, program development
  • Participates in trainings required by CCAP and other trainings necessary for the maintenance of professional licensure and/or supervisory requests for growth and improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must hold a master's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Must hold an unrestricted license to practice in the State of Rhode Island (LICSW or LCSW)
  • Must hold an LCDP, or eligible in 2 years, in the State of Rhode Island (Addictions program only)
  • Must have BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation)
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
