About the position
The Behavioral Health Consultant at Academic and Behavioral Support, LLC is responsible for providing intensive behavioral intervention services to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays. This role involves direct therapy, maintaining accurate records, and effective communication with supervisors regarding treatment plans and client progress. The position offers opportunities for professional development and advancement within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans as designed and trained by the supervising BCBA.
- Provide direct therapy in individual and group sessions.
- Complete weekly program writing and maintain client's program book.
- Collect accurate data and graph data as instructed.
- Assist with assessments and maintain dignity and confidentiality for all clients.
- Complete and return session notes and other paperwork on time, managing client PHI in accordance with HIPAA.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and staff meetings as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma, preferably with Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field.
- A minimum of one year's experience working with children with special needs.
- RBT Certification preferred, but training will be provided within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable means of transportation.
- Must pass a criminal history background check.
- Ability to offer bilingual services (Spanish or Portuguese).
