About the position

The Behavioral Health Manager at BOLD Health Medical Group is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the practice, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to both staff and patients. This role involves training and supervising administrative staff, managing intake processes for patients, and maintaining human resource files. The manager serves as a key resource for scheduling and coordinating patient care, while also promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of staff, maintaining employee files, and managing insurance coverage.
  • Supervise, coach, and conduct performance evaluations of support staff; co-facilitate weekly support staff meetings.
  • Manage initial phone contact with potential clients and complete phone screenings for patients entering programs.
  • Document patient interactions and ensure completion of necessary paperwork in the EHR system.
  • Ensure compliance with security, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements; maintain state licensing and certification compliance.
  • Communicate staffing concerns to the Clinical Director and CEO.
  • Conduct insurance verifications for IOP patients.
  • Provide front desk coverage, including receiving and triaging phone calls, welcoming patients, and scheduling appointments.

  • Analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM).
  • Ability to navigate conflicts and challenging situations effectively.
  • Experience working within an EHR system.
  • Prior experience in a medical or psychiatric practice is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite preferred.
  • Negative annual TB test or proof of prior treatment (required by DHCS).
