About the position

The Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist position at All For Kids is designed to provide integrated and individualized outpatient services to children and their families. The role focuses on delivering clinical interventions aimed at reducing mental health impairments, promoting safety, and enhancing family stability. The therapist will engage in various therapeutic modalities, including family, individual, and group psychotherapy, while fostering a strengths-based approach to service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct DMH Intake Assessment and Clinical Diagnostic Evaluation under the oversight of the Program Supervisor.
  • Provide coordination of treatment planning and implementation, and develop service plans.
  • Demonstrate intervention techniques and provide behavioral interventions consistent with the individualized service plan.
  • Provide family, individual, conjoint, and group psychotherapeutic interventions that are school and family centered.
  • Achieve established service delivery/productivity expectations of 65% of a 40-hour work week.
  • Complete all documentation per DMH and CB policy within 24 hours from the date of service.
  • Provide system-oriented interventions for each client's family and support system.
  • Participate in weekly Utilization Management supervision and monthly clinical supervision.
  • Work closely with case managers and other therapists to facilitate implementation of the treatment plan.
  • Document 100% of activity in compliance with State of California Standards for Medi-Cal service delivery.
  • Attend and participate in all training events focused on service philosophy and clinical delivery issues.
  • Participate in outcome-oriented data collection for Program Evaluation.
  • Maintain confidentiality in matters of agency operations, personnel, and clients.

Requirements

  • Two years direct service experience with severely emotionally disturbed clients in an inpatient or outpatient health care setting.
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, childcare counseling, education or development from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid California driver's license.
  • Licensure as either Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), or Registered Psychologist in active status with State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.
  • Bilingual Spanish.

Nice-to-haves

  • One year case management experience preferred.
