About the position

The Program Supervisor at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia is responsible for overseeing operations in the Psychiatric Residential Intensive Treatment Program (PRTF) for adolescents aged 10-21. This role involves supervising and mentoring Direct Support Professionals, ensuring quality care, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of programs that meet the social, emotional, and personal needs of clients. The position also includes administrative tasks and requires on-call availability, including weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Providing quality care and motivation to the children and adolescents we service.
  • Supervising Direct Support Professionals and providing mentorship.
  • Implementing programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical and personal needs of clients.
  • Assisting, supporting and instructing individuals in self-help skills designed to encourage independence.
  • Establishing and maintaining a therapeutic rapport with individuals.
  • Completing comprehensive training in crisis prevention/intervention, trauma informed care, CPR, first aid and more!
  • Overseeing operations and acting as a resource to direct support staff and individuals served.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in counseling, mental health, social work, psychology/sociology, rehabilitation, special education, or human services field preferred; OR some college education with 60 college credits in human services preferred.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred (degree); or four (4) years of supervisory experience in a mental health related discipline required (non-degree).
  • Direct care experience with the I/DD (intellectual/developmental disabilities) population, specifically children and adolescents preferred.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; leadership, relationship management, and multi-tasking skills are required.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to utilize in-house computer applications.
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory drug screen and background check results.

Benefits

  • Starting pay: $24.00 per hour with additional compensation for experience and a Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 100% tuition covered (up to $15k reimbursed annually for undergraduate and $25k reimbursed annually for graduate) and student loan repayment through the ASCEND program.
