About the position

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to deliver one-on-one behavioral intervention services to children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities and implementing behavior support plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor skills, and crisis intervention
• Help clients with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meal preparation, dressing, and ambulation
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Updated TB Test
• Current in-person or hybrid CPR/First Aid Certification for Adults and Pediatrics

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with children with developmental delays
• Certification in behavior analysis or related fields
