About the position

The Certified Social Worker (CSW) at Intermountain Health is responsible for providing comprehensive behavioral health services, including psychosocial assessments and treatment planning. This role involves collaboration with patients, families, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure effective care coordination and advocacy for patients' needs. The CSW operates under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and engages in various therapeutic approaches to support individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive intake examinations and behavioral health assessments.
• Determine accurate DSM-5/ICD-10 diagnoses based on clinical information.
• Provide behavioral health services to individuals, couples, families, and groups using various treatment approaches.
• Make appropriate referrals for patients needing services outside the scope of primary care.
• Maintain complete and timely clinical records on all clients.
• Provide consultation to other staff members and participate in case staffing.
• Offer consultation and education services to individuals, agencies, and groups as assigned.
• Participate in staff training and attend staff meetings.
• Review client files to assess dangerousness and evaluate family violence referrals.
• Make referrals to social services and medical resources as needed.
• Participate in the screening process of new referrals to the department.

Requirements

• Master's in Social Work (MSW) or related field required.
• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor license required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience post-licensure preferred.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire required.
