About the position

The Behavioral Health Quality Assurance Coordinator/Case Manager II is responsible for providing rehabilitative services and case management for individuals and families dealing with substance abuse issues. This role involves participating in case staffing, ensuring timely documentation, conducting quality reviews of client files, and maintaining compliance with program requirements. The coordinator will also support the Behavioral Health program's tracking and monitoring system, while fostering positive relationships with staff and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, family, and group alcohol, tobacco, or other drug-related rehabilitative services and case management services.
  • Participates in case staffing with the chemical dependency treatment team.
  • Completes all required case documentation in a timely manner.
  • Completes screening and referral for Center clients.
  • Participates in quarterly quality case reviews of client files.
  • Participates in monthly supervision with the Lead Counselor.
  • Conducts regular and systematic reviews of the Behavioral Health clinical record-keeping system to ensure documentation adheres to expected timeliness and quality.
  • Carries out quality assurance oversight activities as defined by supervisory staff member.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of program requirements set by accrediting, certification, contract, and licensing agencies.
  • Provides ongoing support and technical assistance around quality assurance.
  • Coordinates the Behavioral Health program tracking/monitoring system and ensures all information is accurate and meets required time constraints.
  • Performs other administrative duties as required to support program operations.
  • Serves as the back-up for the Grievance Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Must be able to become certified as a Case Manager II by meeting one of the following criteria: High School Diploma or equivalent AND a total of 36 months of direct, documented experience working with persons who live with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues; OR 60 college credit hours in any field and 12 months of behavioral health experience; OR Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field with 6 months of behavioral health experience; OR Bachelor's or Master's degree in a behavioral health field.
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Must pass background check, drug and alcohol screening.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently.
