About the position

The Behavioral Health Quality Metrics and Survey Analyst role at the Oregon Health Authority is a full-time, permanent position within the Health Policy and Analytics Division. This position focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of metrics related to behavioral health services, aiming to improve service quality among various healthcare entities. The role requires strong analytical and project management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and engage with community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of accountability metrics using various data sources.
  • Design data usage methods and establish data quality assurance procedures.
  • Oversee the development of dashboards and reports to accurately represent metrics.
  • Collaborate with team members and partners to present complex data findings clearly.
  • Engage with community-based committees to develop quality measurement indicators.
  • Partner with various divisions to maintain alignment on data and reporting initiatives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in any discipline with six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and three years of experience in data analysis and report preparation.
  • Five years of research experience using computerized applications for data analysis, with two years coordinating complex research projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with health survey research and health outcomes research.
  • Familiarity with healthcare expenditure, utilization, and quality improvement data.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS) and programming languages (e.g., SQL).
  • Knowledge of Medicaid programs and mental health treatment services.
  • Experience in effective data visualization using tools like PowerBI and Tableau.
