About the position
The Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Specialist/CMII role involves providing therapeutic services in both group and individual settings within an outpatient mental health agency. The position focuses on case management and rehabilitative services under the supervision of the Clinical Director, with an emphasis on building a personal caseload and collaborating with other treatment providers.
Responsibilities
- Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
- Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse and mental health issues
- Provide prevention-oriented therapy
- Implement and review treatment plans
- Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
- Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in mental health, substance abuse, counseling, and/or human relations field
- Certified CMII, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LADC, LADC/MH or Supervised Candidates
- Familiarity with community mental health resources
- Established strategy for attracting clients and/or an existing client base
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong leadership qualities
- Assessment and treatment plan development
