About the position
As a Behavioral Health Technician at Moberly Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in the interdisciplinary team, providing quality care to patients. This part-time position focuses on assessing patient needs, leading educational groups, and documenting patient progress to ensure effective treatment.
Responsibilities
- Function as a member of the interdisciplinary team to assess the functional abilities, impairments, and needs of each patient.
- Lead daily educational groups focused on essential skills patients need to manage their illness and social environment.
- Document patient participation, progress, and changes in condition.
- Contribute to the formulation of individualized treatment plans and perform regular assessments of patient progress.
- Assist in chart maintenance, environment of care, patient care, and transportation as needed.
- Work under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and write the equivalent of eighth (8th) grade English.
- Completion of a program for nursing assistance is strongly preferred.
- Completion of some post-secondary education in therapeutic or social services discipline is strongly preferred.
