About the position
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for Community Programs is responsible for providing direct client care through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to children with Autism. This role involves implementing treatment plans under the guidance of Behavior Consultants and Behavior Analysts, focusing on skill development and reducing maladaptive behaviors. The BHT works collaboratively with caregivers and other team members to create a supportive therapeutic environment that fosters client growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis intervention to children with Autism.
- Structure sessions and prepare activities that address clients' goals and objectives.
- Support and assist caregivers in developing the client through skill transfer techniques.
- Create a therapeutic environment using principles of pairing and reinforcement.
- Collaborate with BCBA, supervisors, case managers, and program managers to ensure effective treatment plans.
- Complete documentation professionally and submit it in a timely manner.
- Take behavioral data effectively and routinely according to the treatment plan.
Requirements
- Complete 40 hours of RBT training before seeing clients in-person.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
