About the position
BasePoint Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Program Specialist (Behavioral Health Technician) to join their team in Forney, TX. This role is crucial in providing patient-centric care and ensuring the safe transport of patients to and from the facility. The Program Specialist will supervise patients, establish healthy routines, provide crisis intervention, and transport patients as needed.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of patients at all times, treating them with respect and dignity.
- Follow schedules to establish healthy routines for students.
- Provide crisis intervention services to students when necessary, ensuring their safety until professional care is available.
- Safely and punctually transport patients from various locations within 30-35 miles to the facility campus and designated locations as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license with a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and proof of insurance.
- Preferred experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or adolescent patients.
- At least one (1) year of professional experience driving 15 passenger vans preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service position.
