About the position

The Behavioral Health Technician at New Spirit Recovery plays a crucial role in supporting clients undergoing addiction treatment in a residential setting. This position involves implementing treatment plans, ensuring client participation in therapy sessions, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment. The technician will work closely with clients to promote recovery and assist in their journey towards sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral tech support in a residential detox and substance abuse treatment center.
• Implement rules and procedures for clients and staff, ensuring clients attend groups and therapy sessions.
• Take detailed notes during and at the end of shifts to inform other staff of client progress and day-to-day activities.
• Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Drive clients to support meetings.
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to teach new skills and reduce problem behaviors.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for clients.

Requirements

• Fluency in Kipu EMR
• RADT certification or higher
• Knowledge of medication administration
• Active driver's license
