The Behavioral Health Technician at Soar Autism Center plays a crucial role in enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum through innovative care methods. This position involves providing one-on-one Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children aged 2-6, implementing intervention plans, and fostering relationships with families to keep them informed about their child's progress. The role emphasizes ongoing training and development in ABA therapy and RBT certification, contributing significantly to the center's mission-driven care model.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in the clinic.
• Implement intervention plans crafted by expert BCBAs, ensuring alignment with ABA therapy principles.
• Foster relationships with families, consistently updating them on their child's progress within the ABA framework.
• Engage in ongoing training and development, keeping up-to-date with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification.

Requirements

• Enrollment in or completion of a degree program, preferably in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields.
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification (paid training provided).
• Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with them.
• Ability to work on a team.
• Reliable transportation to both training location and local center.
• Punctuality is essential.
• Physical ability to sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods, and occasionally run short distances.
