About the position

Soar Autism Center is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in a clinic setting. This role is crucial in implementing intervention plans and fostering relationships with families, contributing to the center's mission of enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum through innovative care models based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM).

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in the clinic, adhering to high professional standards.
  • Implement intervention plans crafted by expert BCBAs, ensuring alignment with ABA therapy principles.
  • Foster relationships with families, consistently updating them on their child's progress within the ABA framework.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development, keeping up-to-date with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification.

Requirements

  • Strong preference for enrollment in or completion of a degree program, preferably in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification (paid training provided by Soar).
  • Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with them.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Reliable transportation to both training location and local center.
  • Punctuality is essential.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods, and occasionally run short distances.
