About the position
Soar Autism Center is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to enhance the lives of children on the autism spectrum through innovative care models. The role focuses on providing one-on-one ABA therapy, implementing intervention plans, and fostering relationships with families to support children's development. This position is integral to the mission-driven care model at Soar Autism Center, utilizing principles from the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM).
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in the clinic, adhering to high professional standards.
- Implement intervention plans crafted by expert BCBAs, ensuring alignment with ABA therapy principles.
- Foster relationships with families, consistently updating them on their child's progress within the ABA framework.
- Engage in ongoing training and development, keeping up-to-date with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification.
Requirements
- Strong preference for enrollment in or completion of a degree program, preferably in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields.
- Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification (paid training provided by Soar).
- Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with them.
- Ability to work on a team.
- Reliable transportation to both training location and local center.
- Punctuality is essential.
- Ability to meet physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods, and occasionally run short distances.
