About the position

The Behavioral Services Psychotherapist position at Henry Ford Medical Group involves providing evidence-based care for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders. The role includes delivering individual, group, family psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services as part of an interdisciplinary team. The position emphasizes safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders.
• Deliver individual, conjoint, group, and family psychotherapy.
• Offer crisis intervention services as needed.
• Ensure quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.

Requirements

• Master's (or Doctoral) degree in clinical or counseling psychology with one year supervised post-masters experience; OR Master's degree in Social Work with two years post-Master's experience in mental health/chemical dependency setting.
• Licensed Psychologist; OR Limited Licensed Psychologist; OR Licensed Master's in Social Work.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduated from an accredited university/college with a master's degree in social work, and fully licensed to practice in the state of Michigan.
• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience providing individual, group & family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 21 and their families.
• Experience working on a multidisciplinary/integrated team in a school environment, outpatient behavioral health setting, or primary care setting with high-risk patients/families.
• Excellent organization skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic integrated team.
