About the position

The Behavioral Tech position is a part-time role focused on providing direct care to individuals with mental health diagnoses and co-occurring disorders. The role involves implementing treatment plans, overseeing daily activities, and supporting residents in crisis situations. The Behavioral Tech will work under the guidance of the Residential Manager and collaborate with a versatile team to facilitate programming and promote recovery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the direct care of residents during designated working hours.
• Implement client treatment plans established for each resident.
• Monitor residents' behavior and functioning, and communicate progress to team members.
• Encourage residents to be involved in their own treatment and provide ongoing guidance.
• Facilitate programming using evidence-based behavioral management techniques.
• Assist residents with cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and personal hygiene skills.
• Ensure residents take their medications as prescribed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to use various computer applications including Microsoft Office, HRIS, and EHR.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in a residential environment.
• Knowledge of psychological disorders and related behaviors.
• Experience de-escalating situations.
