About the position

The Caregiver Manager is responsible for overseeing caregiver staff and ensuring high standards of care for clients in a community setting. This role involves managing caregiver schedules, medication management, crisis intervention, and maintaining compliance with health regulations. The Caregiver Manager also fosters teamwork among staff and coordinates services to promote client independence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise caregiver staff across 12-hour shifts, ensuring proper task assignment and shift rotation.
  • Oversee medication management, including documentation and addressing discrepancies.
  • Assess and de-escalate behavioral issues among clients, collaborating with care teams as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation protocols and health regulations.
  • Enforce uniform and hygiene standards among caregivers.
  • Monitor client needs and coordinate necessary services and transportation.
  • Support continuous quality improvement and assist with program planning.
  • Accompany clients on outings and appointments as needed.

Requirements

  • C.B.R.F. Certification
  • Minimum of 18 months of experience in home care service delivery or coordination.
  • Proven ability to work with clients with various behavioral/mental health diagnoses.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in assisted living software, such as ECP.
  • Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Knowledge of community-based healthcare dynamics and resource networks.
